Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A partly-peeled orange on a pewter plate with raspberries, cherries, grapes, a loaf of bread, a pipe and a water jug on a table ledge under damask drapery by Elias van den Broeck was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2005. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 10,200.00 (€ 15,097.48). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elias van den Broeck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blumenstilleben. in April 2011 with an auction result of CHF 228,000.00 (€ 177,511.10).
