A top price for eL Seed
When this work without title by eL Seed was auctioned at Sothebys in London in February 2015, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - GBP 8,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than four times as high at GBP 35,000.00 (€ 48,259.80). This high result makes the work without title the most expensive artwork by eL Seed that we have observed at auctions so far.

Als die Arbeit ohne Titel von eL Seed im Februar 2015 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – GBP 8.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit GBP 35.000,00 (€ 48.259,80) mehr als viermal so hoch. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht das Werk ohne Titel zum teuersten Kunstwerk von eL Seed, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
