In April 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art/ Turkish, which included the work Gri - Grey - Grau by Ekrem Yalcindag. The auction ended at the price of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 22,523.45), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Other works by Ekrem Yalcindag have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2010 the work Schloss Balmoral: 9 (Castle Balmoral: 9) was auctioned for GBP 28,750.00 (€ 33,085.63).

Im April 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art/ Turkish durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gri - Grey - Grau von Ekrem Yalcindag zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 22.523,45) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00.
