Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Feather for the Phoenix by Eileen Agar was auctioned at Christies in London in July last year. The price achieved of GBP 15,120.00 (€ 18,055.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eileen Agar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Taking Aim in April this year with an auction result of HKD 176,400.00 (€ 180,138.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Feather for the Phoenix von Eileen Agar kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 15.120,00 (€ 18.055,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eileen Agar auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Taking Aim im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 176.400,00 (€ 180.138,91).
