Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Cayuga Lake House Site by Edwin Walter Dickinson. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,883.89) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edwin Walter Dickinson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Self Portrait In Uniform in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 187,500.00 (€ 166,874.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cayuga Lake House Site von Edwin Walter Dickinson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.883,89) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edwin Walter Dickinson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Self Portrait In Uniform im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 187.500,00 (€ 166.874,33).
