Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Small Beach View 5 5/16 x 8 in. (13.5 x 20.3 cm.) by Edwin Walter Dickinson was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in May last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 7,650.00 (€ 7,128.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edwin Walter Dickinson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Self Portrait In Uniform in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 187,500.00 (€ 166,874.33).
