In March last year Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work Blue Tits; Collared Dove, a pair both 40 x 27.3cm (15 3/4 x 10 3/4in). (2) by Edwin Penny. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,530.00 (€ 1,813.99), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edwin Penny achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ptarmigan In A Winter Landscape in December 2017 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,286.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Blue Tits; Collared Dove, a pair both 40 x 27.3cm (15 3/4 x 10 3/4in). (2) von Edwin Penny zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.530,00 (€ 1.813,99) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edwin Penny erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ptarmigan In A Winter Landscape im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.286,99).
