This artwork by Edwin Penny achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in January 2011. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Blue macaw (illustrated); and Red and gold macaw sold for GBP 4,375.00 (€ 4,909.95) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edwin Penny - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ptarmigan In A Winter Landscape, which sold at auction in December 2017 for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,286.99).

In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wurde die Arbeit Blue macaw (illustrated); and Red and gold macaw für GBP 4.375,00 (€ 4.909,95) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00.
