This artwork by Edwin Hughes achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2013. In the Sporting & Wildlife Art auction, the work Here's to the Bude! sold for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,512.62) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edwin Hughes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Rivals, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 16,628.07).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Edwin Hughes erzielte im November 2013 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Sporting & Wildlife Art wurde die Arbeit Here's to the Bude! für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.512,62) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Edwin Hughes mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Rivals beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 11.875,00 (€ 16.628,07) versteigert wurde.
