Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work Anglers on a riverbank on a summer's day by Edwin Henry Boddington for GBP 493.50 (€ 643.00). This price was achieved in the auction At Home - British and Continental Pictures & Works on Paper at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edwin Henry Boddington achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eel Fishing On The Thames in February 2013 with an auction result of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,259.73).
