The work Mutton Bay by Edwin Headley Holgate was auctioned at Sothebys in Toronto in December 2009. The price achieved of CAD 24,000.00 (€ 16,007.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edwin Headley Holgate have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Autumn Leaves in November 2012 with an auction result of CAD 106,000.00 (€ 82,037.97).
