Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study of the head of a hound by Edwin Douglas was auctioned at Bonhams in London in March 2021. The price achieved of GBP 892.50 (€ 1,048.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edwin Douglas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Favourite Story, A Gordon Setter And A Jack-Russell in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 61,250.00 (€ 76,314.81).
