In November 2010 Christies in London held the auction Centuries of Style: Silver, European Ceramics, Glass, Portrait Miniatures and Gold Boxes, which included the work Unknown by Edward Tayler. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,091.25), 46% above the upper estimate. With this result, Unknown is even the most expensive work of art by Edward Tayler that we have observed at auctions so far.
