Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Study of a woman and two children by Edward Stott was sold in the British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in London in October 2002. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,057.50 (€ 1,672.78). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Stott achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of a young girl in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 66,920.00 (€ 96,167.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Study of a woman and two children von Edward Stott wurde im Oktober 2002 in der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.057,50 (€ 1.672,78) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Stott erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of a young girl im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 66.920,00 (€ 96.167,68).
