Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2012 Christies in London held the auction Posters With A Purpose: The London Transport Museum Sale, which included the work Play Between 6 And 12 by Edward McKnight Kauffer. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,541.56). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edward McKnight Kauffer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Power, The Nerve Centre Of London'S Underground, which sold at auction in May 2011 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,446.33).
