Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Explorers Prefer Shell by Edward McKnight Kauffer was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2012. The price achieved of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,231.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward McKnight Kauffer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Power, The Nerve Centre Of London'S Underground in May 2011 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,446.33).

Die Arbeit Explorers Prefer Shell von Edward McKnight Kauffer kam im November 2012 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.231,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward McKnight Kauffer erzielen.
