Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Exhibition, Imperial Institute by Edward McKnight Kauffer for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,554.16). This price was achieved in the auction Posters With A Purpose: The London Transport Museum Sale at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward McKnight Kauffer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Power, The Nerve Centre Of London'S Underground in May 2011 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,446.33).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Exhibition, Imperial Institute von Edward McKnight Kauffer für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.554,16) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Posters With A Purpose: The London Transport Museum Sale bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward McKnight Kauffer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Power, The Nerve Centre Of London'S Underground im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.446,33).
