The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,102.66) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Cavaliers and Roundheads is the most expensive artwork by Edward Linley Sambourne that we have observed at auctions so far.
