Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Trouble With Women'S Hats by Edward Lamson Henry was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in April 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 11,250.00 (€ 8,543.44) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Edward Lamson Henry have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flower Seller in November 2000 with an auction result of USD 49,350.00 (€ 56,763.29).
