In the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, Maritime Art, Sporting & Wildlife Art auction, the work Peaches, plum, grapes, raspberries and white currants on a wooden ledge, with a wine glass sold for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,308.52) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edward Ladell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life With A Blue And White Vase, Peaches And Grapes; Still Life With A Bird'S Nest, Fruit And A Silver Tazza, which sold at auction in December 2006 for GBP 42,000.00 (€ 62,333.26).
