In the Important American Furniture, Folk Art, Silver, Prints and Decoys auction, the work Portrait of Andrew Jackson sold for USD 352,000.00 (€ 270,810.89) - well above the upper estimate of USD 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Hicks achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Peaceable Kingdom With The Leopard Of Serenity in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 9,673,000.00 (€ 6,216,580.98).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Edward Hicks erzielte im Januar 2007 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis.
