The »bidding war« ended at GBP 382.40 (€ 550.38), 27% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Edward H. Niemann have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Landscape With Richmond Castle On The River Swale, Yorkshire in September 2019 with an auction result of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,513.53).

Die Arbeit An Extensive River Landscape von Edward H. Niemann wurde im Oktober 2004 in der Auktion AT HOME - BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 382,40 (€ 550,38) und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edward H. Niemann auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Landscape With Richmond Castle On The River Swale, Yorkshire im September 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.513,53).
