In November 2010 Christies in London held the auction The Collection of the Late John Appleby: A Channel Island Treasure House, which included the work Mont Orgueil Castle, Jersey by Edward Duncan. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 13,750.00 (€ 16,431.23), 38% above the upper estimate. Other works by Edward Duncan have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 15,275.00 (€ 26,109.34) in October 2000 for the work Tantallon Castle, Coast of Haddingtonshire.
