In January 2024 a collector was able to acquire the work Still Life with Pansies and Nautilus Cup by Edward Chalmers Leavitt for USD 1,386.00 (€ 1,211.33). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century American & Western Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Chalmers Leavitt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life With Strawberries And Sparrows in September 2008 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 17,754.42).
