Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Still Life with Oranges, Grapes and Apples by Edward Chalmers Leavitt. The price achieved of USD 4,000.00 (€ 2,813.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edward Chalmers Leavitt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life With Strawberries And Sparrows in September 2008 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 17,754.42).

Im September 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life with Oranges, Grapes and Apples von Edward Chalmers Leavitt zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 2.813,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden.
