Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Closing In (Chasing a Longhorn No. 2); Chasing a Longhorn; A Street in Taos 3 by Edward Borein was sold in the Western Art auction at Bonhams in April this year. The price achieved of USD 3,187.50 (€ 2,887.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Borein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Riding a Young One in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 105,000.00 (€ 123,733.21).

Die Arbeit Closing In (Chasing a Longhorn No. 2); Chasing a Longhorn; A Street in Taos 3 von Edward Borein wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Western Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.187,50 (€ 2.887,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Borein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Riding a Young One im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 105.000,00 (€ 123.733,21).
