Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Landscape) by Edward Bawden was sold in the Modern & Post War British Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in June 2021. The price achieved of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 5,872.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edward Bawden have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The English Pub in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 36,000.00 (€ 53,461.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Landscape) von Edward Bawden wurde im Juni 2021 in der Auktion Modern & Post War British Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.040,00 (€ 5.872,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edward Bawden auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The English Pub im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 36.000,00 (€ 53.461,13).
