A top price for Edward Bawden - as previously expected
The work The English Pub by Edward Bawden was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2006. The price achieved of GBP 36,000.00 (€ 53,461.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The English Pub is the most expensive artwork by Edward Bawden that we have observed at auctions so far.
