Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A Summer Morning by Edoardo Tofano was sold in the Old Master & 19th Century European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in June 2008. Here, the upper estimate of USD 9,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 10,000.00 (€ 6,350.01). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edoardo Tofano - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Giovane donna con foulard, which sold at auction in November 2005 for EUR 15,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A Summer Morning von Edoardo Tofano wurde im Juni 2008 in der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 9.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 10.000,00 (€ 6.350,01) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Edoardo Tofano mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Giovane donna con foulard beobachtet, die im November 2005 für EUR 15.500,00 versteigert wurde.
