In November 2017 Il Ponte held the auction Dipinti e Sculture del XIX e XX secolo, which included the work Pescatore by Edoardo Tofano. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 750.00 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edoardo Tofano achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Giovane donna con foulard in November 2005 with an auction result of EUR 15,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im November 2017 führte Il Ponte die Auktion Dipinti e Sculture del XIX e XX secolo durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pescatore von Edoardo Tofano zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 750,00 und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edoardo Tofano erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Giovane donna con foulard im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 15.500,00.
