Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Composition by Eduard Steinberg was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2021. It achieved a price of GBP 17,640.00 (€ 20,524.38), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eduard Steinberg - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Russian Composition 12, 1998, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 103,000.00 (€ 66,161.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Composition von Eduard Steinberg kam im September 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 17.640,00 (€ 20.524,38) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Für andere Arbeiten von Eduard Steinberg mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Russian Composition 12, 1998 beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 103.000,00 (€ 66.161,36) versteigert wurde.
