A top price for Eduard Steinberg - as previously expected
In April 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Russian Art, which included the work Russian Composition 12, 1998 by Eduard Steinberg. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 100,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 103,000.00 (€ 66,161.36) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Russian Composition 12, 1998 is the most expensive artwork by Eduard Steinberg that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im April 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Russian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Russian Composition 12, 1998 von Eduard Steinberg zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 100.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 103.000,00 (€ 66.161,36) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Russian Composition 12, 1998 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Eduard Steinberg, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
