Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Eduard Ludwig could be acquired at Phillips in New York in December 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Design & Design Art auction, the work Group of three typographic studies and a montage changed hands for USD 3,120.00 (€ 2,364.17) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,500.00 – 4,500.00. Other works by Eduard Ludwig have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in December 2006 by the work Architectural construction set at USD 5,040.00 (€ 3,819.05).
