In September 2005 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work Sisters: a walk through a field in summer by Eduard Frankfort. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,140.00 27% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Eduard Frankfort have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A musical gathering, South-Africa in May 2016 with an auction result of EUR 5,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 27 % übertroffen
Im September 2005 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sisters: a walk through a field in summer von Eduard Frankfort zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.140,00 und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eduard Frankfort auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A musical gathering, South-Africa im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 5.000,00.
