Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2017 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art: Online, which included the work Portrait de Monsieur et Madame Goujon-Bouchon by Édouard Goerg. The price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 4,982.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Édouard Goerg - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Portrait, which sold at auction in February 2012 for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,925.33).
