Here, the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 25,200.00 (€ 18,448.02). Admittedly, works by Édouard Frédéric Wilhelm Richter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shéhérazade in November 2001 with an auction result of USD 160,000.00 (€ 178,611.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit French At Her Ease, Grenada von Édouard Frédéric Wilhelm Richter wurde im April 2007 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 25.200,00 (€ 18.448,02) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Édouard Frédéric Wilhelm Richter auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shéhérazade im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 160.000,00 (€ 178.611,30).
