Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Papal Palace, Avignon, c. 1861 by Édouard-Denis Baldus for USD 750.00 (€ 640.70). This price was achieved in the auction MoMA: Tracing Photography's History at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Édouard-Denis Baldus achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chemin De Fer De Paris À Lyon Et À La Méditerranée', 1861 - 1863 in November 2014 with an auction result of EUR 47,100.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Papal Palace, Avignon, c. 1861 von Édouard-Denis Baldus für USD 750,00 (€ 640,70) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion MoMA: Tracing Photography's History bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Édouard-Denis Baldus erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Chemin De Fer De Paris À Lyon Et À La Méditerranée', 1861 - 1863 im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 47.100,00.
