Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Winter Woods by Edmund William Greacen for USD 13,750.00 (€ 9,764.93). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Edmund William Greacen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Day At The Beach, Watch Hill in March 2006 with an auction result of USD 78,000.00 (€ 64,255.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Winter Woods von Edmund William Greacen für USD 13.750,00 (€ 9.764,93) erwerben. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edmund William Greacen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Day At The Beach, Watch Hill im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 78.000,00 (€ 64.255,70).
