Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, which included the work The Mill Stream by Edmund William Greacen. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,500.00 (€ 4,745.33). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edmund William Greacen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Day At The Beach, Watch Hill in March 2006 with an auction result of USD 78,000.00 (€ 64,255.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Mill Stream von Edmund William Greacen zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 7.500,00 (€ 4.745,33) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edmund William Greacen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Day At The Beach, Watch Hill im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 78.000,00 (€ 64.255,70).
