This work of art by Edmund Henry Osthaus could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in April 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work Enjoying Sunset After A Long Day'S Hunt changed hands for USD 21,250.00 (€ 16,063.19) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edmund Henry Osthaus have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hunting in the Fall - Three Pointers in December 2006 with an auction result of USD 180,000.00 (€ 136,394.64).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
