This work of art by Edmund Garvey could be acquired at Christies in London in November 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES auction, the work Figures in the grounds of Hestercombe, Somerset changed hands for GBP 4,700.00 (€ 6,746.92) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edmund Garvey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A view of Lake Geneva with the Mont Salève and Le Môle, the Mont Blanc beyond in April 2015 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 41,196.92).
