Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work A View Of Conway Castle by Edmund Garvey for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,103.05). This price was achieved in the auction Old Masters Online | Part I: Property from the SØR Rusche Collection | Part II: Property from Various Owners at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edmund Garvey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A view of Lake Geneva with the Mont Salève and Le Môle, the Mont Blanc beyond in April 2015 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 41,196.92).
