This artwork by Edmund Dulac achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2021. In the British and European Art auction, the work Venise: The Carnival, St Mark's, Venice sold for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,317.68) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edmund Dulac - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Little Mermaid (At the mere sight of the bright liquid they drew back in terror), which sold at auction in June 2010 for GBP 55,250.00 (€ 67,189.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Edmund Dulac erzielte im Juli 2021 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British and European Art wurde die Arbeit Venise: The Carnival, St Mark's, Venice für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 29.317,68) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Edmund Dulac mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Little Mermaid (At the mere sight of the bright liquid they drew back in terror) beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für GBP 55.250,00 (€ 67.189,14) versteigert wurde.
