Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Spaniels retrieving a Pheasant; and Terriers surprising a Fox by Edmund Bristow was sold in the SPORTING ART auction at Christies in New York in December 2000. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,637.50 (€ 8,135.39). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edmund Bristow - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Windsor Castle, which sold at auction in July 2012 for GBP 23,750.00 (€ 30,251.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Spaniels retrieving a Pheasant; and Terriers surprising a Fox von Edmund Bristow wurde im Dezember 2000 in der Auktion SPORTING ART bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 7.637,50 (€ 8.135,39) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Edmund Bristow mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Windsor Castle beobachtet, die im Juli 2012 für GBP 23.750,00 (€ 30.251,12) versteigert wurde.
