Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Flower Girl by Edmund Adler was sold in the Old Master and 19th Century European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2008. The price achieved of USD 6,875.00 (€ 4,632.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edmund Adler have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Secret in May 2000 with an auction result of USD 23,500.00 (€ 25,192.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Flower Girl von Edmund Adler wurde im Januar 2008 in der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 4.632,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edmund Adler auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Secret im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 23.500,00 (€ 25.192,97).
