Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2001 Christies in New York held the auction Fine Nineteenth Century European Art, which included the work The big hand is on the... by Edmund Adler. It changed hands for a price of USD 19,975.00 (€ 22,211.72) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Other works by Edmund Adler have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2000 the work The Secret was auctioned for USD 23,500.00 (€ 25,192.97).

Im Oktober 2001 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine Nineteenth Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The big hand is on the... von Edmund Adler zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 19.975,00 (€ 22.211,72) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Edmund Adler konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2000 die Arbeit The Secret für USD 23.500,00 (€ 25.192,97) versteigert.
