Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Story Time by Edmund Adler was sold in the Old Master & 19th Century European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in June 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 11,250.00 (€ 9,153.04) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edmund Adler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Secret, which sold at auction in May 2000 for USD 23,500.00 (€ 25,192.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Story Time von Edmund Adler wurde im Juni 2010 in der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 9.153,04) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Edmund Adler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Secret beobachtet, die im Mai 2000 für USD 23.500,00 (€ 25.192,97) versteigert wurde.
