Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Five Children by Edmund Adler was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2011. Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 13,750.00 (€ 10,025.52). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edmund Adler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Secret, which sold at auction in May 2000 for USD 23,500.00 (€ 25,192.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Five Children von Edmund Adler kam im Januar 2011 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 13.750,00 (€ 10.025,52) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Edmund Adler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Secret beobachtet, die im Mai 2000 für USD 23.500,00 (€ 25.192,97) versteigert wurde.
