In June 2007 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Old Master Paintings - 18th and 19th Centuries Decorative Arts, which included the work Vieille Porte Fortifiee Pres D'Une Riviere by Edmond-Marie Petitjean. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 7,683.00 28% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edmond-Marie Petitjean - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ships in a Port, which sold at auction in May 2000 for USD 18,800.00 (€ 20,154.37).

Im Juni 2007 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Old Master Paintings - 18th and 19th Centuries Decorative Arts durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vieille Porte Fortifiee Pres D'Une Riviere von Edmond-Marie Petitjean zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 7.683,00 und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Edmond-Marie Petitjean mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ships in a Port beobachtet, die im Mai 2000 für USD 18.800,00 (€ 20.154,37) versteigert wurde.
