Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Coucher de Soleil Sur La Plage by Edmond-Marie Petitjean was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,160.00 (€ 3,125.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Edmond-Marie Petitjean have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ships in a Port in May 2000 with an auction result of USD 18,800.00 (€ 20,154.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Coucher de Soleil Sur La Plage von Edmond-Marie Petitjean kam im Juni 2006 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.160,00 (€ 3.125,48) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edmond-Marie Petitjean auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ships in a Port im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.800,00 (€ 20.154,37).
